Local Chapters
PNHP California resumed the formation of local chapters in 2009, inspired by a group of activist members who founded our Los Angeles chapter. We currently have a number of chapters around the state in various stages of development.
Local chapters give our members a place to interact with other like-minded colleagues. They provide a place to work together on a variety of activities designed to further the goal of implementing single-payer in California and the nation. Local members participate in our Speakers/Writers Bureau, our Campaign Single-Payer legislative advocacy programs and our efforts to grow PNHP and the statewide coalition. They also provide invaluable feedback to the state chapter about the local political environment. To find out more about upcoming events, visit the PNHP Calendar.
There are many ways in which PNHP California supports local chapters and activists. Local activists who are interested in forming a chapter in their area should visit our Chapter Resources Page to get started and give us a call or send an email to find out more!
